Desenvolvimento Sustentável da Aquicultura (Madeira)

The grant aims to support the aquaculture sector in the Autonomous Region of Madeira by promoting sustainable development. This initiative focuses on improving the economic and environmental performance of aquaculture companies, ensuring sustainability and food security.

• Investments in productive aquaculture
• Investments in energy efficiency, circular economy, and digitalization
• Investments supporting insurance premiums and measures for health and animal welfare

Examples of Eligible Projects to be developed

• Installation of systems for renewable energies in aquaculture facilities
• Implementing a digital management system for better resource planning and reducing waste
• Upgrading aquaculture equipment to improve animal welfare standards

• Reduction of energy consumption and efficiency improvements
• Development of commercial, process, and product innovation
• Support for the development of business strategies, management, and equipment

• Total budget for the grant: 770.000€
• Co-financing percentage: Up to 100%

• Companies as defined in Portaria n.º 559/2023 article 41.º n.º 1
• Entities developing or participating in scientific research activities in cases of innovation operations led by a company and carried out in co-promotion, as identified in Portaria n.º 559/2023 article 41.º n.º 2
• Operations must be within the eligible area of the Autonomous Region of Madeira
