Apoio ao Investimento em Portos (Madeira)

The grant is designed to support individuals and entities in the Autonomous Region of Madeira by enhancing the sustainability and efficiency of fishing practices. It specifically aims to increase the quality, control, and traceability of landed products, improve energy efficiency, contribute to environmental protection, improve workplace safety and conditions, facilitate compliance with landing obligations under the Common Fisheries Policy, add value to underutilized catch components, and advance the digital management of fishing ports.

• Modernization of fishing ports, landing places, auction places, and shelters
• Investments in waste storage and treatment facilities or equipment
• Digitalization projects for fishing port operations and management

Examples of Eligible Projects to be developed

• Upgrading of port infrastructures to facilitate all catch landing obligations
• Projects aimed at the recuperation and repurposing of unwanted catches
• Digital solutions for tracking, control, and management improvements in fishing port operations

• Acquisition and modernization of fixed or mobile equipment that aids in the obligation to land all catches
• Investments aimed at environmental certification, the use of renewable energy sources, and improving energy efficiency
• Development and upkeep of computer systems

• Total budget for the grant: 8,500,000€
• Co-financing percentage: Up to 70%
• Minimum funding per company: 10,000€

• Private individuals or entities operating within the fishing sector
• Non-profit fishery producer organizations and associations of shipowners and fishermen
• Public entities involved in maritime-port administration or the fishing area, as well as local governments
