This opportunity compensates operators in Madeira for extra costs in producing, transforming, and selling fishery and aquaculture products. It promotes sustainable fishing and supports the economic viability of the sector.

• Must focus on offsetting extra costs faced by operators in the Madeira region, due to insular constraints and remoteness.

• Eligible operations include:

  • Compensation for the production of fishery products.

  • Compensation for the production of aquaculture products.

  • Compensation for the processing and marketing of fishery products.

  • Compensation for the processing and marketing of aquaculture products.

Examples of Eligible Projects:

• A fishing company in Madeira claiming reimbursement for higher logistics and fuel costs.

• An aquaculture producer offsetting increased input prices for feed and environmental maintenance.

• A local processor covering extra packaging, transport, and distribution expenses.

Additional costs linked to production, transformation, or marketing activities, such as:

• Transport and logistics

• Input materials

• Processing and packaging

• Storage and distribution

Total budget of the grant: €3,000,000

Co-financing rate: 100% (FEAMPA)

• Individuals or legal entities based and operating in Madeira using production means to supply fishery or aquaculture products.

• Owners or operators of vessels registered in Madeira, or their associations.

• Operators or associations in the processing and marketing sector of fishery and aquaculture products in Madeira.

• One application per production/processing/marketing unit.
