Pro FIT early phase financing

The grant aims to support technology-oriented startups in Berlin by providing financial assistance to help develop innovative projects. This initiative focuses on enhancing the competitive edge of new businesses, fostering innovation, and supporting the early-phase development of promising technologies.

• Developing a new software application to improve data security
• Creating a prototype for an environmentally friendly battery
• Establishing a lab for testing new renewable energy solutions

• Personnel Expenses: Primarily salaries for executives and staff involved in the project.
• Investment Expenses: Costs related to acquiring essential equipment or resources for the project.
• Operational Expenses: Necessary ongoing costs tied to the project, excluding any expenses linked to direct sales or customer orders.

It offers a mix of grants and loans, depending on the project phase:

• The maximum funding available: 500.000€ per company across both phases
  • Phase 1: Up to 50% of eligible expenses covered through a non-repayable grant and loan, with a funding limit of 200.000€
  • Phase 2: Financing is provided through low-interest loans for expansion and further project development
• Loans come with favourable terms, including interest-free loans for Phase 1 and long repayment periods (up to 10 years)

• Startups established in Berlin
• Companies must be new (under 12 months for Phase 1; under 24 months for Phase 2)
• The company should have a planned "anchor project" (innovation/R&D project), demonstrating a unique or novel aspect that aligns with industry standards.
