Description

The main goal of this opportunity is to boost the impact of digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in climate-neutral bio-based value chains. It aims to make the European bio-based industry more sustainable, resilient, and independent by using AI and digital technologies to improve resource efficiency, circularity, and climate neutrality. Key focus areas include creating innovative circular and bio-based materials and processes, addressing societal concerns through social innovation, and fostering international cooperation. The opportunity supports synergies with EU initiatives such as the Circular Bio-based Europe Joint Undertaking and the EU AI Act. While the primary focus is on the European Union, it also encourages collaboration with countries like the United States, Japan, South Korea, and India.
