Eligibility Criteria

Applicants: Legal entities (public or private bodies) based in EU Member States, their overseas territories, EEA countries, or other territories associated with the LIFE Programme. The project coordinator must also be based in an eligible country.

Focus: Targeting ad‑hoc legislative or policy priorities related to environmental or biodiversity goals under the EU Biodiversity Strategy or Nature Restoration Law. Projects must propose innovative approaches, governance improvements, and capacity building.

Priority topics: The call covers seven thematic priorities. One example is Priority 7: Climate Proof Pollution Alert model, which includes development of alert systems, capacity-building of water authorities, replication across river basins, and knowledge dissemination.
