Description

The main goal of this opportunity is to recognize organizations that use sport to connect people from different generations and strengthen their communities. It focuses on promoting intergenerational activities through sport, making it easier for everyone to take part in physical activities, and considering the needs of future generations. The aim is to foster inclusion and long-term community development by using sport to bridge generational gaps. This opportunity highlights how sport can help build stronger, more connected communities for all ages.

Admissible Projects

  • Projects must follow the page limit and layout requirements in the Application Form.
  • They must be led by organizations that use sport to connect different generations.
  • Projects should help strengthen communities and promote intergenerational activities.
  • They must provide easier access to sport and physical activities for all ages.
  • Additional requirements about eligibility, finances, and operations are set out in the Call document.

Examples:

  • A community center organizes regular sports days where children, parents, and grandparents play team games together.
  • A local sports club runs a mentorship program where older athletes coach and support young players.
  • An organization creates walking or cycling groups that pair up youth and seniors to encourage fitness and social connection.

Eligible Expenses

  • Event preparation and delivery.
  • Training for athletes, coaches, volunteers.
  • Side-events (seminars, conferences).
  • Volunteer engagement.
  • Communication and visibility efforts.
  • Legacy activities (follow-up, impact tracking).
  • All costs must be reasonable, documented, and follow EU funding rules.

  • Budget for this Call: 25,000
  • Number of Grants attributed: 3
  • Maximum per grant: 15,000
  • Minimum per grant: 5,000€

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be legal entities (public or private bodies, NGOs, international organisations), individuals (natural persons) are not eligible for this category. 
  • Organisations must be established in eligible countries: EU Member States (including overseas territories), EEA countries, or countries associated to Erasmus+ (including those negotiating association agreements that enter into force before the award decision). 

  • The activity must focus on sport initiatives that bridge generations, promoting community cohesion and accessibility to sport across all age groups.

  • No mandatory partner requirement—solitary entities can apply if they meet the above conditions. 

  • Activities must take place in eligible countries as defined above.

  • Standard eligibility rules apply regarding exclusion of entities under EU sanctions or restrictions.
