Description

The main goal of this opportunity is to boost innovative collaboration in research and innovation by encouraging staff exchanges and the sharing of knowledge and ideas. It focuses on fostering connections across different sectors and disciplines, strengthening research and innovation capacity, and increasing staff mobility. The program supports knowledge transfer between academic and non-academic organizations worldwide, including small and medium-sized enterprises. Activities include networking, workshops, and conferences to explore new approaches to research and innovation.

Admissible Projects

  • Be a joint R&I project involving secondments of staff between independent legal entities.

  • Include organisations from academic and non-academic sectors (e.g. SMEs).

  • Include partners from EU Member States, Associated Countries, and eligible non-associated third countries.

  • Involve physical mobility (no virtual secondments allowed).

  • Address at least one mobility dimension: international, inter-sectoral, or interdisciplinary.

  • Same-sector exchanges within EU/Associated Countries are only eligible if interdisciplinary.

  • Same-sector exchanges with non-associated third countries are allowed without interdisciplinarity.

  • Secondments within the same country or between two non-associated third countries are not eligible.

  • Support research, transferable, and entrepreneurial skill development.

  • Offer mentoring and career development opportunities for seconded staff.

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and long-term collaboration.

  • Include networking activities, workshops, and conferences.

  • Leverage complementary expertise of all participating organisations.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants must be from countries eligible under the program guidelines.
  • Secondments must involve physical mobility between independent organizations in different countries or sectors.
  • Exchanges within the same country or between certain non-associated countries are not allowed.
  • Open to research, technical, administrative, and managerial staff from participating organizations.
  • Staff of any nationality can participate; secondments can be split into several periods but must not be virtual.
  • Consortia should combine complementary expertise and promote synergy between partners.
  • Inter-sectoral exchanges are encouraged, but same-sector exchanges are possible if they are interdisciplinary.
