Description

The main goal of this grant is to strengthen the robustness, resilience, and cybersecurity of autonomous vehicles (UxVs) used in military settings. It focuses on designing effective security controls that balance data protection, cybersecurity, and reliable autonomy. The opportunity also aims to automate analysis processes to handle large data volumes, reduce operational costs, and create structured documentation. Projects should enhance UxVs' ability to prevent, detect, and respond to cyber-attacks, ensuring they can complete missions even when under threat. This initiative contributes to advancing the European Defence Technological and Industrial Base in cybersecurity and autonomous systems.

Admissible Projects

  • Projects must include activities such as generating and integrating knowledge, conducting feasibility and ethical studies, and designing proof-of-concept solutions.
  • Proposals must respect the specified page limits and formatting rules in the application system.
  • Projects must be submitted by applicants from eligible countries.
  • Applicants must show sufficient financial and operational capacity.
  • Each project must address the improvement of UxVs' resilience and cybersecurity, aligning with the call's objectives.

Examples:

  • Developing a simulation environment to test military UxVs against cyber-attacks and cataloging potential threats.
  • Creating a prototype security system that continuously monitors and responds to cyber threats in real-time during a military exercise.
  • Conducting a feasibility study on integrating advanced data protection measures into existing autonomous vehicle platforms.
