Description

The main goal of this opportunity is to design, develop, and build a demonstrator for a European Fighter Multifunctional Information Distribution System (F-EMIDS) terminal. The focus is on strengthening EU sovereignty and autonomy for the armed forces of EU Member States and associated countries. Key areas include improving secure and encrypted communications, especially in challenging electromagnetic environments, and integrating advanced communication, navigation, and identification capabilities. The opportunity also aims to reduce reliance on non-EU suppliers and enhance collaboration across air, land, and maritime operations. Activities are targeted at boosting the European Defence Technological and Industrial Base to better respond to future security challenges.

Admissible Projects

  • Projects must generate or integrate new knowledge, conduct feasibility studies, or design defence products, components, or technologies.
  • Mandatory activities include studies and design work.
  • System prototyping, testing, and qualification activities are not eligible.
