Chiplet for Defence Application

The main goal of this opportunity is to support the development and sharing of a common hardware library of chiplets, with a focus on their military applications. It aims to analyze possible architectures, design at least one military application, and prioritize the use of EU-based technologies wherever possible. Key focus areas include reducing dependence on external sources for defense systems, ensuring cost efficiency for low-volume production, and achieving scalable architectures. The opportunity also emphasizes optimizing power consumption, integrating advanced security features, and ensuring compatibility with harsh operational environments. All activities are intended to strengthen the European Defence Technological and Industrial Base and improve flexibility for multifunctional defense systems.

• Activities to generate new technical knowledge

• Eligible equipment costs (subject to depreciation rules)

Restrictions: System prototyping, testing, qualification, and certification are not eligible for funding. Only the depreciated portion of equipment costs is eligible, unless the equipment is used for prototyping, in which case full cost may be requested.

Budget of the call: 25,000,000€

• Applicants must be from eligible countries as defined in the call documentation.

• Applicants must show they have the operational capacity to carry out the proposed activities.
