The main goal of this opportunity is to develop full-size demonstrators for next-generation soldier systems, focusing on innovative solutions that can be quickly integrated into existing systems. It aims to enhance the capabilities of the European defence industry, especially by involving smaller actors like SMEs and start-ups. The program encourages the use of modular and standardized technologies to meet the needs of soldiers in high-intensity warfare scenarios. Key focus areas include improving survivability, mobility, energy, observation, and lethality. This grant covers the European Union, EDF Associated Countries, and Ukraine.
Admissible Projects
- Projects must involve studies, design, system prototyping, and testing as mandatory activities.
- They should develop next-generation dismounted soldier systems with innovative technologies and modular architectures.
- Proposals must address requirements for high-intensity warfare and include prototyping and testing in realistic conditions.
- Support for smaller actors (such as SMEs and start-ups) through acceleration programs, technical mentoring, and networking is required.
- Each third party can receive up to EUR 60,000 for a maximum 6-month program.
