The main goal of this opportunity is to strengthen collaboration between the European Union and Japan in the semiconductor sector. It aims to coordinate research and innovation activities related to life cycle assessment of semiconductor manufacturing, encourage researcher exchanges, and support joint efforts to improve the reliability and security of chip supply. Focus areas include supporting talent mobility, building networks with Japanese research institutions in digital technologies, and organizing workshops to address current and future needs in the semiconductor value chain. Activities are designed to connect stakeholders and promote knowledge sharing across both regions.

• Projects must align with the objectives of EU-Japan collaboration in the semiconductor sector.
• Proposals should address coordination of research and innovation activities, especially on life cycle assessment of semiconductor manufacturing.
• Projects should include elements of talent exchange or researcher mobility between the EU and Japan.
