Description

The main goal of this opportunity is to promote the development and integration of bio-fabricated materials in the construction sector. It focuses on creating innovative, sustainable, and visually appealing materials that can be produced at scale and at competitive costs. The program aims to increase the acceptance of these materials among construction professionals by addressing technical and regulatory challenges. Additional focus areas include improving environmental performance through life cycle assessments, enhancing social and economic benefits, and ensuring compliance with high standards, such as self-repair, carbon storage, and adaptability to environmental changes. Eligible countries include those listed in the Horizon Europe Work Programme General Annexes.
