Projects should aim to develop innovative ways to renovate existing buildings and infrastructures so they can be easily adapted or repurposed with minimal disruption. Efforts should reduce resource use, waste, and environmental impact while creating positive economic, social, and cultural benefits. Solutions must be demonstrated through pilot projects in at least two different countries, covering urban, peri-urban, or rural settings.
