The grant aims to support micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in the Alentejo region by promoting innovative and qualified investments. This initiative focuses on pushing progression in value chains and supporting operations that lead to the modernization and economic diversification with an emphasis on new and technologically advanced industries and services aimed at climate and energy transition.

Eligibility Criteria

• Companies must be micro, small, or medium-sized enterprises.
• Enterprises should demonstrate a minimum of a 20% pre-project to post-project capacity increase or other sustainable growth metric.
• Production diversification for new products not previously produced by the establishment, with costs exceeding at least 200% of the asset values reused, as registered the year before the project starts.

Eligible Expenses

• Costs associated with increasing capacity that meet a minimum set threshold in relation to installed capacity.
• Expenses attributable to the diversification of production to new products.
• Asset reuse in the project including costs related to territories, buildings, machinery, and other tangible or intangible fixed assets.

Examples of Eligible Projects to be developed

• Setting up a new facility focusing on the production of innovative products aligning with climate and energy transition goals.
• Expanding the capacity of an existing establishment to increase the production of technically advanced services.
• Reutilizing existing assets to diversify into producing new, previously non-produced items, essential for technological and economic modernization.
