Description
The main goal of this opportunity is to boost the use of results developed in key European Research Area (ERA) policy areas by a wide range of research and innovation stakeholders. The initiative supports the implementation of selected ERA Actions at organizational, ecosystem, and national levels, aiming to reform and enhance the European R&I system. Focus areas include strengthening research careers, advancing research assessment reforms, improving the reproducibility of scientific results, upgrading knowledge and technology transfer capacities, and enhancing research management recognition. Participation is open to consortia from multiple countries across Europe and certain associated countries.
Admissible Projects
- Projects must be submitted by a consortium of at least three independent legal entities.
- Each entity must be based in a different Member State or Associated Country.
- At least two entities must be established in a Member State.
- Proposals must follow the required page limits and layout.
- Participants must be from eligible countries.
- Applicants must show financial and operational capacity.
- Proposals must meet the evaluation and award criteria.
- Projects may provide financial support to third parties, up to EUR 60,000 per third party.
Examples:
- A project led by research organizations in France, Germany, and Norway to improve the recognition of research management roles across their institutions.
- A consortium of universities from Italy, Spain, and Poland developing new tools to enhance the reproducibility of scientific research.
- Technology transfer offices in Belgium, the Netherlands, and Finland collaborating to upgrade the skills of their professionals through shared training programs.

- Personnel costs for project staff
- Costs of materials and supplies used for the project
- Travel and accommodation for project meetings and events
- Equipment necessary for project implementation
- Costs for organizing workshops, seminars, or conferences
- Subcontracting specific tasks (if justified)
- Communication and dissemination activities
- Training and capacity-building expenses
- Financial support to third parties (up to EUR 60,000 per third party)
Restrictions: All expenses must be directly related to the project objectives and comply with the relevant guidelines. Some costs may require prior approval or justification.
