Description

The main goal of this opportunity is to strengthen the European Science for Policy (S4P) ecosystem, enabling more effective evidence-based policymaking across Europe. It aims to advance collaboration among key actors, encourage mutual learning, and improve how scientific evidence informs public policy. Focus areas include building a vibrant Science for Policy Community of Practice, supporting networks of S4P correspondents, establishing an observatory to track practices, and developing resources to share best practices. The opportunity covers all Member States and Associated Countries of the European Union, and promotes cross-border cooperation.

Admissible Projects

  • The project must be submitted by a consortium of at least three independent legal entities.
  • Each entity in the consortium must be established in a different Member State or Associated Country.
  • At least two consortium members must be based in Member States.
  • The Joint Research Centre (JRC) may participate as a consortium member.

Examples of admissible projects:

  • A cross-border initiative to create an online platform for sharing S4P best practices, led by organizations in France, Germany, and Norway.
  • A collaborative project to develop training workshops for policymakers and scientists, involving partners from Italy, Spain, and Poland.
  • A networked observatory to monitor S4P activities across Europe, coordinated by universities in Belgium, Sweden, and Greece.
