Description

The grant aims to support micro and small enterprises in the NUTS II North region by enhancing their growth and competitiveness. This initiative focuses on creating new micro and small enterprises or expanding and modernizing existing ones to improve local economies' resilience and employment.

Type of Project

• Expansion of existing micro and small enterprises
• Modernization of existing micro and small enterprises

Eligibility Criteria

• Entities must be micro or small enterprises located in the NUTS II North region
• Entities must not be sole proprietors (ENI)
• Companies must fall into at least one of the following categories:
  • "Lojas com História" - must be classified by their respective municipaliy as a "Loja com História"
  • Culture and Criativity - companies and their respective projects must be relataded with the culture sector
  • Certification and Increase of regional competitiveness - projects that around the certification of products, services and process

Eligible Expenses

• Acquisition of machinery and equipment necessary for the operation of the business
• Costs associated with obtaining certification of products, services, and management processes 
• Consultancy services for project preparation, excluding regular or periodic activities

Examples of Eligible Projects to be developed

• Modernization of a old store in dowton Porto
• Increasing a videographer company's capacity
• Certification of proprietary software by a startup

• Total budget for the grant: 5,500,000€
• Co-financing percentage: up to 60% 
• Maximum funding per company: 300,000€ 
• Minimum funding per company: 15,000€
