The main goal of this opportunity is to support energy efficiency improvements and reduce greenhouse gas emissions in social equipment facilities in the Algarve region. It specifically targets Institutions of Private Social Solidarity (IPSS) and similar entities that own and operate such facilities. The focus is on projects that increase sustainability and contribute to environmental objectives within these organizations. Support is provided as a non-reimbursable grant, co-financed by European funds. Eligible activities must take place within the NUTS II Algarve area of Portugal.
Admissible Projects
- Projects must have a total cost exceeding €200,000, with only eligible expenses counted.
- Only projects not completed or fully executed before the funding request are admissible.
- Projects must demonstrate readiness and maturity, particularly for the main financial activity.
- Applicants must show capacity to operate and maintain the investment after completion.
- Projects must be located in the Algarve region (NUTS II).
- Actions must focus on improving energy efficiency and reducing greenhouse gas emissions in social equipment.

- Price revisions for completed works, as per contracts.
- Non-recoverable VAT applicable to eligible costs.
- Creation of a video (mandatory for projects with eligible costs above €500,000) to showcase the project and its results.
- Acquisition of essential land through expropriation or direct negotiation.
- Information, dissemination, awareness, and publicity actions related to the project.

Eligibility Criteria

- Applicants must prove their capacity to carry out and sustain the investment after completion.
- Applicants must comply with national and EU requirements and provide all needed declarations and certificates.
- A valid energy performance certificate and an ex-ante energy audit report must be submitted.
- Projects must be located in the Algarve region (NUTS II).
