Description

The main goal of this grant is to strengthen resilience against climate risks in urban areas and reduce the impact of extreme local events, especially fires. It supports actions that lower vulnerability to fire, such as adaptation measures, fire prevention and response equipment, and systems for collecting and storing biomass. The broader aim is to promote climate change adaptation, disaster risk prevention, and resilience through ecosystem-based approaches. This opportunity applies to the NUTS II Lisboa region in Portugal and is part of a sustainability and climate resilience initiative co-financed by European funds.

Admissible Projects

  • Projects must meet specific eligibility requirements, including alignment with the objectives of the PR Lisboa 2030 and the typologies detailed in the notice.
  • Actions should include acquiring individual protection equipment, developing risk monitoring and alert systems, and constructing or upgrading civil protection infrastructure.

Eligible Expenses

  • Civil construction and engineering works
  • Acquisition of equipment, monitoring systems, and technological materials
  • Purchase of software and alert/risk monitoring systems
  • Safety coordination and project supervision costs
  • Adjustments for price revisions in works/contracts
  • Information, awareness, and publicity activities
  • Environmental recovery and renaturalization of natural systems
  • Land acquisition (up to 10% of total eligible expenses, or 15% in degraded/industrial zones)
  • Acquisition of individual protection and sustainability equipment
  • Equipment for disaster response, including new technologies and emergency planning tools

All expenses must directly relate to the project’s objectives and follow specific program rules and limits.

  • Co-financing rate: 40%
  • Maximum value per project: €200,000
  • Maximum project duration: 24 months
