This call supports co-management initiatives for classified natural areas within the Centro region, fostering collaborative governance between public entities, NGOs, and local stakeholders. It aims to enhance conservation, biodiversity protection, and community involvement in managing natural heritage. Projects must align with the national co-management model and contribute to regional ecological and territorial sustainability.

• Projects that implement or reinforce co-management structures in classified natural areas

• Initiatives that promote participatory governance and stakeholder involvement

• Actions aimed at conservation, biodiversity monitoring, and sustainable use of natural resources

• Projects aligned with the objectives of the National System of Classified Areas and regional development strategies

Examples of Admissible Projects:

• A municipality partners with an environmental NGO to establish a co-management council and implement a local biodiversity action plan

• A protected area authority leads a program for stakeholder training and participatory monitoring of species and habitats

• An intermunicipal association coordinates a conservation strategy involving tourism operators, landowners, and local schools

• Technical assistance and consultancy services directly related to co-management

• Studies, diagnostics, and action plans for conservation and governance

• Awareness, communication, and environmental education activities

• Equipment and materials essential for monitoring and fieldwork

• Costs related to stakeholder engagement, including workshops and meetings

• External audits, evaluations, and project coordination

• Non-recoverable VAT associated with eligible expenses

• Travel and accommodation directly linked to project implementation

• Digital tools and platforms supporting participatory governance and monitoring

Co-financing rate: Up to 85%
Maximum value per company: €200,000
Minimum value per company: €50,000 

• Applicants must be entities formally integrated in co-management structures of classified natural areas

• Must be public or non-profit private entities with recognized experience or legal responsibility in nature conservation or territorial governance

• Projects must align with national and regional strategies for biodiversity and sustainable development

• Maximum execution period: 24 months

• Applicants must demonstrate operational, technical, and financial capacity to execute the project
