Description

This opportunity aims to boost digitalization in the Alentejo region to enhance efficiency in local administration and improve interaction between public entities, citizens, and businesses.

Admissible Projects

  • Must promote the use of digital technologies in territorial management.

  • Should create new models of interaction between public administration, citizens, and businesses.

  • Must align with national smart city strategies and contribute to service efficiency and innovation.

  • Projects must be part of the ITI CIM strategies for Alto Alentejo and Alentejo Litoral.

Examples of admissible projects:

  • Setting up smart traffic systems in a city to reduce congestion and improve public transport efficiency.
  • Developing an online platform for citizens to access local government services and submit requests.
  • Creating a centralized digital database for local businesses to facilitate easier data sharing and collaboration.

Eligible Expenses

  • Costs for services from external parties for preparatory activities and technical support.
  • Expenses for purchasing IT equipment, software, and technological systems.
  • Infrastructure and equipment costs for data centers.
  • Costs related to information, dissemination, and awareness actions necessary for achieving the project's objectives.
  • Indirect costs calculated as a fixed rate of 7% on the total eligible direct costs.

Total budget of the grant: €511,910.77

Co-financing rate: 85% (FEDER)

Maximum value per operation: €25,000

Minimum value per operation: €100,000

Eligibility Criteria

  • Municipalities and Intermunicipal Communities (CIMs) from:

    • NUTS III Alto Alentejo

    • NUTS III Alentejo Litoral

  • Operations must be included in ITI CIM action plans and align with national digital strategies.

  • Projects must meet DNSH (Do No Significant Harm) principles and demonstrate climate resilience.
