Community Connect Grant

The grant aims to support organizations in rural areas of the United States by providing funds to construct broadband networks. This initiative focuses on enhancing connectivity, economic development, and access to education and healthcare in underserved rural communities.

Development of broadband infrastructure

Examples of Eligible Projects to be Developed

• Building new broadband networks in rural towns
• Setting up community access centers with free internet
• Enhancing current network infrastructure to support higher speeds

Construction and improvement of broadband facilities

Installation of necessary network equipment

Costs associated with establishing community internet access points

Maximum funding per company: $5,000,000

Minimum funding per company: $100,000

Applicants must be legally organized entities, such as corporations, Indian Tribes, State or local governments

Projects must be in economically challenged rural areas where broadband service does not currently exist

Applicants must demonstrate the financial capacity to manage and operate the proposed facilities
