SI Economia Circular - Norte2030

The grant aims to support Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the NUTS II Norte region by promoting the transition to a circular economy and more efficient use of resources. This initiative focuses on promoting sustainable practices, reducing raw material consumption, and valuing waste through innovation and eco-design projects.

Type of Projects to Develop

• Eco-design projects encouraging the use of recyclable materials and the creation of sustainable products.
• Initiatives for reducing raw material consumption and replacing them with renewable alternatives.
• Digital transformation projects to improve product lifecycle management.

Eligibility Criteria

• Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) based in the NUTS II Norte region.
• Projects that directly contribute to the transition towards a circular economy.
• Companies must have their tax and social security situations regularized.

Eligible Expenses

• Acquisition of machinery and equipment that contribute to circularity.
• Expenses related to software, patents, and licenses for circular innovation.
• Consulting and engineering services for developing sustainable solutions.

Examples of Eligible Projects to Be Developed

• Implementation of a production line using biodegradable and recyclable materials.
• Development of a project for the reuse of industrial wastewater.
• Creation of sustainable packaging made from recycled materials.

• Total budget for the grant: €9,000,000
• Co-financing percentage: 50%
• Minimum funding per company: Minimum eligible expense of €200,000.
