The grant aims to support entrepreneurs and startups in the NUTS II Norte region by promoting the creation of new companies and innovative businesses. This initiative focuses on fostering research and development (R&D) projects, enhancing knowledge-based activities, and boosting technology and creativity-intensive sectors.

Type of Projects to Develop

• Creation of new businesses stemming from R&D projects.
• Projects focused on significant knowledge enhancement.
• Initiatives in technology and creativity-driven areas.

Eligibility Criteria

• Startups operating for at least 6 months and no more than 3 years.
• Projects aligned with the Smart Specialization Strategy of the North Region (S3NORTE21-27).
• Projects that create or maintain at least one qualified job in the region.

Eligible Expenses

• Acquisition of machinery and equipment necessary for business operations.
• Investment in software, patents, or licenses related to technology transfer.
• Costs for professional services, including audits, engineering studies, and marketing plans.

• Developing a technology startup focused on AI-powered software solutions.
• Launching a creative business in digital content creation for global markets.
• Establishing an R&D-driven project to develop renewable energy solutions.

• Maximum funding per company: €500,000
