Project Types Supported

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a U.S.-based small business with fewer than 500 employees, including affiliates.
- For-profit entities only.
- Applicants must have a commitment to developing potentially transformative innovations.
- Must receive an official invitation via the Project Pitch process to submit a full proposal.
Eligible Expenses
- Costs associated with research and development.
- Prototyping and testing phases.
- Customer discovery and market validation activities.
Financial Information
- Maximum Funding Per Company: $305.000, inclusive of all direct and indirect costs, plus a small business fee.
- Technical and Business Assistance (TABA) Funding: Up to $6.500 to assist in commercialization activities.
- Optional I-Corps Training: Budget should include $25.000 for I-Corps training to enhance potential for commercial success.
