The program supports young unemployed individuals with higher qualifications in Portugal, promoting their integration into the labor market through practical work experiences. It aims to develop skills and facilitate a smooth transition to active employment, aligning qualifications with market needs.
Admissible Projects
- Internships that promote gender equality in underrepresented professions
- Internships for individuals with disabilities or impairments
- Internships located in interior regions
- Internships that result in permanent employment contracts
Eligible Expenses
- Monthly internship allowance for 6 months:
- €1,120.37 for level 6 qualification (2.2 IAS)
- €1,222.22 for level 7 qualification (2.4 IAS)
- €1,324.08 for level 8 qualification (2.6 IAS)
- Meal or meal subsidy
- Work accident insurance
Financial Information
- Co-financing percentage: Up to 80% in specific situations (e.g., underrepresented professions in terms of gender, interior regions, or for individuals with disabilities); 65% in other cases.
Eligibility Criteria
- Young unemployed individuals aged up to 35 years with qualifications at level 6, 7, or 8 of the National Qualifications Framework (QNQ)
- Individuals who have emigrated for at least 12 months and are returning to Portugal to start their first professional internship
