Sistema de Incentivos de Base Territorial - Norte2030

The grant is aimed at supporting micro and small enterprises, as well as social economy entities, in the following regions of Northern Portugal: Terras de Trás-os-Montes, Tâmega e Sousa, Alto Tâmega e Barroso, Ave, Alto Minho, Área Metropolitana do Porto (AMP), Cávado, and Douro. This initiative focuses on fostering territorial cohesion, social equality, and entrepreneurship by promoting employment creation and micro-entrepreneurship.

Type of Project

• Creation of self-employment through new businesses
• Creation of permanent jobs associated with new or expanding companies
• Creation of permanent jobs in social economy entities

Eligibility Criteria

• Entities must be micro or small enterprises or part of the social economy
• Geographically located in one of the eligible regions: Terras de Trás-os-Montes, Tâmega e Sousa, Alto Tâmega e Barroso, Ave, Alto Minho, Área Metropolitana do Porto (AMP), Cávado, Douro
• Creation of jobs must occur physically at the entity's location

Eligible Expenses

• Direct personnel-related costs for job creation
• Investments in tangible assets (e.g. acquisition of machinery and equipment)
• Investments in intangible assets (e.g. acquisition of patents)
• Direct costs related to project development and evaluation

Examples of Eligible Projects to be Developed

• A new startup in Alto Minho creating 5 full-time jobs
• An expanding local artisan business in Cávado launching new product lines requiring additional staff
• A social enterprise in Douro aiming to provide community services that also require new hires

Financial Information

• Total budget for the grant: 1,200,000€
• Co-financing percentage: 60%
• Maximum funding per company: 300.000€
• Minimum funding per company: 25.000€
