The grant aims to support micro and small businesses in the Leiria region of Portugal by providing financial aid for small-scale investment projects. This initiative focuses on fostering economic growth, job creation, and the modernization of local economies.

Type of Project to Develop

• Creation of new micro and small businesses
• Expansion of existing micro and small businesses
• Modernization of business operations to enhance production capacity

Eligibility Criteria

• Micro and small businesses with less than 5 years of operation for new business creation projects
• Micro and small businesses with at least 5 years of operation for expansion and modernization projects
• Businesses located in the Centro region of Portugal

Eligible Expenses

• Purchase of machinery and equipment
• Building renovation and construction works
• Consultancy services for marketing, certification, and financial audits

Examples of Eligible Projects to be Developed

• A new bakery opening in a small town in Leiria
• Creation of a boutique hotel for rural tourism in Viseu
• A local restaurant expanding its seating capacity and improving kitchen facilities

• Co-financing percentage: Up to 50%
• Maximum funding per company: 300.000€
• Minimum funding per company: 40.000€
