This call aims to support the creation, expansion, or modernization of micro and small enterprises in priority sectors in the regions of Alentejo Litoral, Baixo Alentejo, Alentejo Central, Alto Alentejo, and Lezíria do Tejo. The main objective is to boost local economies by promoting the diversification of the regional productive base and integrating businesses into regional value chains, with a significant impact on employment and economic resilience.

• Be located in the Alentejo NUTS II region

• Involve an eligible investment of €15,000 to €300,000

• Contribute to improving competitiveness, productivity, or local economic integration

• Prioritize job creation, use of local resources, or sustainability upgrades

Examples of Eligible Projects to Be Developed

• Creating a small production unit for traditional food products in Alto Alentejo

• Modernizing a retail store in Baixo Alentejo by adding digital inventory systems and expanding its product range

• Investing in energy-efficient machinery to increase output in a ceramics workshop in Alentejo Central

• Launching a rural accommodation service with e-bike rentals and local tourism packages in Alentejo Litoral

• Acquisition of machinery, equipment, and software

  • Includes industrial tools, digital systems, and technology essential to the project.

• Construction, renovation, or modernization of facilities

  • Allowed up to a maximum of 60% of the total eligible investment.

• Consulting and specialized services, including:

  • Development of marketing and business plans

  • Product or process certification

  • Audits for certification or standardization

  • Support services related to the project's digital, environmental, or operational transformation

• Total budget available: €7,475,426
• Co-financing percentage: 60% for Alto Alentejo, 50% for the other regions
• Maximum funding per company: €300,000
• Minimum funding per company: €25,000 (or 10.000€ for Alentejo Litoral)

1. Business Size: Companies must be micro or small enterprises.
2. Business Age: Projects from companies with less than 3 years of operation (for creation) or more than 3 years (for expansion and modernization).
3. Eligible Sectors: The eligibie sector are:

• CAE Division 45 - Trade, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, with the exception of group 451;
• CAE Division 46 - Wholesale trade (including agents), except of motor vehicles and motorcycles, with the exception of class 4612;
• CAE Division 47 - Retail trade, except of motor vehicles and motorcycles, with the exception of groups 473, 478 and 479
• CAE Division 10 to 33
• CAE Division 55 and 56
